Come and join us as a Customer Support Advisor at our Pinxton office near Nottingham

Building Product Design is a renowned leader in the fields of roofing ventilation, construction membranes, building ventilation, and specialised building products. Known for their expertise and excellence, they operate two UK manufacturing sites that offer extensive manufacturing and finishing services. Additionally, they boast industry-leading research and development, along with in-house product testing.

About the role

As a Customer Support Advisor, you will work closely with our key customer accounts to manage their pipeline of orders and the schedule for dispatching the products to these customers.

Known as “Customer Support” internally, you will be part of a friendly customer service team, based in Pinxton, who provide exceptional customer service to customers of multiple brands and products within Building Product Design group.

Duties are varied and include:

  • Processing and dispatching customer orders accurately
  • Managing shared email inboxes
  • Logging and resolving customer queries.
  • Answering inbound phone calls
  • Providing the customer with a basic understanding of our products
  • Liaising with internal departments to ensure customer service expectations are met.
  • Logging incoming projects on the system.
  • Working with the Despatch team to facilitate transport/delivery requests.
  • Attending annual sales meetings to represent the wider Customer Support team.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales and Technical colleagues to support business needs.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.30pm

About you

You will have experience providing excellent customer service in a role where you have supported business customers and used systems/software to manage orders and enquiries.

To be successful in the role you will be highly organised, able to multi-task effectively, and adapt to changing priorities depending on customer needs.

You will be a natural problem solver, who enjoys resolving customer issues, and taking accountability for addressing problems quickly.

You will also have:

  • Strong communication (both written and verbal)
  • Computer literacy (particularly with Microsoft Office suite and sales CRM systems)
  • Friendly and positive attitude
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
