Job summary

A leading delivery company in Wrexham is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods. Key responsibilities include maintaining vehicle cleanliness, managing customer interactions, and loading/unloading deliveries. The ideal candidate will build relationships with customers, demonstrate warmth and energy, and hold a valid UK driving licence for at least 12 months. A minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week is offered, with competitive pay starting from £13.35 an hour and various employee benefits.

Qualifications

  • Build relationships and create team spirit within the store.
  • Show warmth and welcome in interactions with customers and colleagues.
  • Act quickly to respond to changing customer needs and embrace change.
  • Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations.
  • Share ideas with your Manager and colleagues to improve the store for customers.
  • Hold a valid UK, EU or EEA driving licence (full or automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than three penalty points.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and keep the van and trays clean and tidy.
  • Leave the base yard clean, tidy and free of rubbish; pick up litter as seen.
  • Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
  • Load the van as required and check it for roadworthiness.
  • Communicate any changes to the customer order, including short‑code items and substitutions; offer a refund for any dissatisfaction.
  • Treat products and deliveries as if they were your own.
  • Deliver during the customer’s time slot.
  • Call the customer before arriving at their property if early.
  • Call the store or centre if running 30 or more minutes late.

Deliveries

Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

We offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week. For those wishing fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we also welcome applications.
