Qualifications

  • Valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence with at most 3 penalty points, held for at least 12 months.

  • Physical fitness to perform lifting and driving duties.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the van and trays are clean and organised.
  • Leave the back yard clean and clear of rubbish.
  • Load the van, checking roadworthiness.
  • Talk to customers about order changes and refunds.
  • Deliver during the customer’s time slot.

Pay rate starts from £13.35 an hour; for stores inside the M25 it increases to £14.56. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

We offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week. If you would like to work fewer hours (minimum 12) we also welcome applications.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the van and trays are clean, tidy and organised.
  • Leave the back yard clean, tidy and clear of rubbish.
  • Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
  • Load the van, checking roadworthiness.
  • Talk to customers about any changes to their order, offer refunds for unhappy items.
  • Take care of products and deliveries as if they were my own.
  • Explain to customers that substitutions will not be charged.
  • Deliver during the customer’s time slot.
  • Call the customer before arriving if early.
  • Call the store/centre if running 30 or more minutes late.
  • Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit.
  • Act warmly and welcomingly in interactions with customers and colleagues.
  • Act quickly to respond to changing needs of customers.
  • Share ideas with Manager and colleagues for store improvement.
