A Sixth Form College in Southampton is seeking a talented and enthusiastic leader for a part-time position covering maternity leave. The successful candidate will lead the Business teaching team, ensuring effective curriculum delivery and pastoral care. Ideal applicants should possess excellent teaching skills in Business, with an eagerness to engage students. The college offers a supportive CPD environment and various staff benefits including free parking and gym access.
Part-time (0.8), one-year maternity cover. We are looking to recruit a talented and enthusiastic leader and manager to join our highly successful and inclusive Sixth Form College. The successful candidate will be an excellent practitioner with the ability to lead and manage the Business teaching team to deliver effective pastoral and curriculum provision. They will also be a highly effective and engaging teacher of Business.
Business is part of our Faculty for Business, English and Law. The college offers a wide range of courses in this area including Ctec Business at Level 2 and Level 3 and A levels in Business and Accounting. The college is also introducing a new T level in Marketing in September 2025. The faculty has dedicated teaching and specialist spaces and supports a range of extra-curricular activity to enrich the taught curriculum. The ability to also teach IT would be welcomed to support wider teaching in the Faculty of Media and IT but is not essential.
