A leading global banking provider is seeking a Head of Risk and Control Operations based in Sheffield. This role involves developing and maintaining the technology risk and control framework, proactively identifying technology risks, and managing relationships with external vendors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategy, leadership skills, and extensive knowledge of information security. The Head of Risk and Control Operations is responsible for the ownership of controls across CTOi, leading transformation on these Controls with a focus on taking a proactive, data based approach to controls management.
The person in this role will be commercially astute, an excellent communicator and able to partner strongly with executive level business stakeholders (Group Managing Directors and their teams). The person in this role will serve as the Control Operations delegate for CTOi, representing the CTOi at all Risk and Control forums including the Technology RCMM, chaired by the GCIO. They will work with business leaders to define technology strategies, create new solutions and drive a culture of continuous improvement. They will also be partnering with other GCIO and IT counterparts, at various executive levels of the organisation including in-country leadership (îmʟ CE, CEO, COO, CIO).
