Job summary

Job description
Overview

Role to provide care to young people experiencing a mental health crisis within a 24/7 CAMHS crisis and home treatment team. The service operates on a shift system including occasional weekends and on call, with enhanced pay for these arrangements.

Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment of risk and formulate safety plans and care plans with children, young people and their families.
  • Support young people to remain at home as an alternative to inpatient hospital admission.
  • Utilise excellent clinical skills and judgment to assess individual needs and provide appropriate interventions to manage crisis periods.
  • Work closely with families, carers and partner agencies to collaboratively care plan for any further interventions that may be required.
  • Demonstrate team work and autonomous practice with responsibility for caseload management from first contact to discharge.
  • Engage in training and development opportunities within the wider CAMHS service to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Experience in the assessment of risk and formulation of safety plans.
  • Experience working within CAMHS crisis and home treatment teams or similar settings is preferred.
