Our long‑standing retail business based in M41 is looking to hire an experienced credit controller to join their team. About the Credit Controller Role

The ideal candidate will have experience in a credit control job, feel comfortable in reconciliations and be a great communicator.

Responsibilities
  • Authorise orders as appropriate and negotiate/suspend credit facilities where needed.
  • Reconcile all customer accounts and ensure accurate allocation between payments and invoices.
  • Manage any outstanding sales balances, negotiating repayment plans and confirming timely payments.
  • Review new customer application forms (including terms, credit limits and credit worthiness).
  • Set credit limits for relevant customers.
  • Follow collection procedures for overdue accounts and take control of the process through debt collection to legal action if required.
Experience and Qualifications
  • At least three years experience in credit control or a similar role.
  • Knowledge and experience of finance software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written.
  • Ability to work on own workload and independently, while liaising with other departments.
