Creche Assistant

Location: Fulham SW6

Salary: £12.50 - £15.00 per hour

Working Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:45am - 6:15pm

Contract: Full-time, Temp to Permanent

We are seeking a passionate and reliable Creche Assistant/team leader to join our team at a prestigious private kids club in Fulham.

The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and passionate childcare professional, committed to providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children aged 3 months to 6 years.

Key responsibilities
  • Assist in daily operations of the creche, ensuring the well-being and development of each child in our care.
  • Bring proven experience in childcare, a genuine passion for working with young children, and an energetic and creative approach to setting up engaging weekly activity plans.
  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with parents and foster excellent teamwork with the rest of the creche staff.
  • Provide attentive and engaging care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Supervise children during play, activities, and snack times.
  • Assist with nappy changing, feeding, and other personal care routines.
  • Respond to children's individual needs and provide comfort and support.
  • Plan and organise age‑appropriate activities and games for the children – arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and sensory play.
  • Prepare and set up engaging activity areas, ensuring they are clean, organised, and safe.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures and report to the Creche Manager.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Level 2 or 3 childcare qualifications desirable.
  • Previous experience working with young children in a creche, nursery, or similar setting.
  • Genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their well‑being.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
