Overview

Stanchester Academy is a secondary school located in Stoke-Sub-Hamdon. The school is part of the Bridgwater & Taunton College Trust.

Cover Supervisor

Working Hours: Part time, working 24 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (Term-time plus INSET days)

Salary: Band 5, Points 7-9 (Actual starting salary: £14,601 per annum)

We are seeking a confident and motivated Cover Supervisor to join our team on a permanent basis. Putting students first is part of our fundamental culture. About the role

• This role involves the supervision and guidance of whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
• This role will also involve invigilating exams and accompanying staff and pupils on educational visits.
• The post would be excellent training for anyone considering a career in teaching specifically or working with young people in general.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects and year groups.
• Manage student behaviour in accordance with Academy policies.
• Ensure a positive and productive classroom environment.
