A community-focused school in Kirklees is seeking an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor Manager. In this role, you will manage cover for absent teachers, oversee supply staff, and engage with students. Responsibilities also include delivering lessons and supporting student behavior. The ideal candidate will have classroom experience and strong interpersonal skills. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor Manager to arrange cover for absent teaching staff, liaise with external agencies, induct and oversee supply staff and line manage our cover own supervisor(s). The successful candidate will also cover lessons, deliver set work and manage student behaviour. During non-cover periods, you will be expected to undertake duties including supporting students in lesson, mentoring, exam invigilation, general administration and break/lunchtime supervision.
Classroom experience and the ability to engage effectively with children is a requirement, along with the ability to build positive relationships with agencies, supply staff and school staff.
This role is for 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 6.45am-3.15pm, term time plus 1 day for staff training.
