Cover Supervisor - Andover (with a preference for English specialists)

Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisors to work across a variety of mainstream and SEN secondary schools in the Andover area. While you will be expected to cover a range of subjects, we are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a strong interest or background in English, as schools frequently request support in this department.

This is an excellent opportunity for:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee lessons and deliver pre-prepared content to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students when the usual teacher is absent. The role focuses on behaviour management, classroom engagement, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

• A degree is desirable (English or humanities strongly welcomed, but all subjects considered)
• Minimum one year experience working with young people
• Safeguarding training completed within the last 12 months (we can provide this if needed)

Eligibility:

• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Ability to supply two professional references relating to work with children
