Overview

32.5 hours per week, term time plus 5 days.

Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth is a community school in Stockton. It is part of OGAT, a Multi Academy Trust in the north of England. We are looking for an outstanding candidate to help us when staff are not available.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise students during short-term teacher absences and assist in preparing the learning environment and the materials required.
  • Cover lessons of any subject using the cover work set by the teacher; set high expectations to motivate and challenge students whilst managing behaviour effectively and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Organise the daily cover rota for absent staff and contact teaching supply agencies to arrange supply staff.
  • In periods where cover is not required you will support in the classroom as directed.

The post would ideally suit an individual considering a teaching career; we can offer support with teacher training through our dedicated training provider.

You must possess good communication and listening skills and ensure that respect and confidentiality is maintained at all times.
