Position: Cover Supervisor
Location: Secondary Schools – Bury & Greater Manchester
Type: Full-Time
Pay: Subject to experience and qualifications

About the Role Axcis Education is expanding its dedicated and confident pool of candidates, to deliver cover lessons in Secondary Schools. This would be a great opportunity for candidates that want to gain real hands on experience to support future roles in teaching. This role would suit candidates with a degree in a subject area, or proven experience in the classroom. You’ll play a vital role in supporting the curriculum by delivering classes, delivering 1:1 intervention or group work.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering lessons
  • Leading or supporting small group interventions focused on core subjects
  • Ensuring a safe and calm learning environment
  • Remove barriers to learning
  • Applying reasonable adjustments to support SEND learners
  • Using de-escalation techniques and consistently applying the schools reward and behaviour policy
  • Encouraging positive peer interactions and building social communication skills
  • Promoting emotional regulation and resilience through consistency and structured routines
