We are actively recruiting Cover Supervisors to support our schools with high-quality, consistent staff. Cover Supervisors play a vital role in schools, whether on a day-to-day, long-term, or permanent basis. While the role does not involve planning and preparation, strong communication and classroom management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes and deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the teacher.
• Ensure students remain on task and engaged with their learning.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Support pupils individually or in small groups to encourage progress.
• Assist with classroom routines such as registration, transitions, and lesson wrap-ups.
• Report back to teachers on pupil progress, engagement, and behaviour.
• Be adaptable and flexible when working across different year groups and subjects.

The Successful Cover Supervisor Will Have

• CACHE Level 2/3 or at least 6 months relevant classroom experience
• Confidence in managing a class of students aged 11-16+
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• Flexibility to support different departments and age groups within the school
