A leading recruitment agency seeks a Cover Supervisor across Birmingham secondary schools. This role involves supervising classes during teacher absence, managing student behavior, and supporting learning. Position: Cover Supervisor
Location: Secondary schools across Birmingham
Salary: £500 – £750 per week (dependent on experience and assignment)
Contract Type: Long-term and day-to-day cover available
Key Stages: KS3 & KS4
The role involves supervising whole classes during teacher absence, ensuring pupils remain on task and complete the set work. You will manage classroom behaviour, support students where needed, and maintain a calm and positive learning environment. Both day-to-day and long-term placements are available, giving you the flexibility to choose the type of assignment that suits your circumstances.
This role is ideal for graduates considering a career in teaching, experienced support staff, or anyone with a strong background in working with young people. You should be confident in managing groups of students, adaptable across different subjects, and resilient under pressure. Previous school-based experience is beneficial but not essential, as training and ongoing support will be provided. Strong communication skills and a proactive, professional approach are essential.
