Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Birmingham

Contract Type: Day-to-Day Supply
Salary: £85 – £120 per day (dependent on experience)

Connex Education Partnership is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work on a day-to-day supply basis in local mainstream secondary schools across Birmingham, starting September 2025.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of education during teacher absences. You will be responsible for supervising whole classes across various subjects, ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged with the work provided by the class teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-set work to secondary school pupils in the absence of the class teacher

• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

• Provide support to students where needed and ensure learning continues effectively

• Report back to the class teacher or school leadership on student progress and behaviour

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• Experience working with children or young people aged 11–16

• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant in a school setting (preferred)

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

• Flexibility, reliability, and a passion for working with young people
