Role Description
This is a full‑time on‑site role for a Couture Embroidery Manager at Miss Sohee. In this role, you will be creating bespoke couture collections and one‑of‑a‑kind gowns for clients and VIPs from around the world, working with the most luxurious fabrics and exceptional craftsmanship. You will be joining a close‑knit atelier team where individual expertise is valued and collaboration is essential to problem‑solve and perfect each garment during development. We are searching for a team member with a long‑term commitment to the brand and a true passion for couture craftsmanship with a minimum of three to five years’ experience in a similar Haute Couture Atelier.
Our luxury West London Atelier has recently expanded to double its size, and you will be working hand in hand with our artisan team, contributing to the creation of extraordinary couture pieces while growing alongside the brand. Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with lead pattern cutters and the design team to translate creative concepts into technically feasible, perfectly constructed Haute Couture garments.
- Oversee end‑to‑end embroidery design development, from initial concept research through to final production launch.
- Translate seasonal direction into cohesive embroidery narratives that align with the collection's overall aesthetic.
- Develop embroidery concepts, artwork, and technical placements across pattern pieces with precision and strong design sensibility.
- Lead sample development by collaborating closely with exporters and artisans, monitoring and refining embroidery samples.
- Manage sampling timelines to ensure consistent quality, colour accuracy, and execution while meeting collection deadlines.
- Negotiate pricing, oversee budgets, and maintain targets to deliver the highest quality craftsmanship in a cost‑efficient manner.
- Clearly communicate design launches and technical specifications to suppliers and manufacturers.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail, ensuring embroidery scale, placement, and materials complement the garment's proportions and luxury finish.
- Curate materials, threads, embellishments, and colours to create refined, feminine, and visually impactful embroideries suitable for bridal and luxury womenswear.
- Solve problems proactively to deliver high‑quality results within tight lead times, ensuring standards are never compromised.
- Confidently illustrate designs, showing embroidery integration within garments, adapting drawing style and technique to align with the house aesthetic.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in embroidery design and development.
- Deep technical knowledge of Haute Couture construction, techniques, and hand finishes to confidently lead and support artisan teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing embroidery projects from concept through to completion, including technical design, sampling, and production coordination.
- Strong knowledge of embroidery techniques, materials, and finishing methods.
- Experience collaborating directly with Indian exporters and embroidery houses.
- Highly detail‑oriented, organised, and commercially aware.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with suppliers and internal teams.
- Keen eye for colour, texture, and material composition.
- Skilled in luxury design, with a talent for creating beautiful, feminine, and innovative embroidery concepts.
- Ability to accurately sketch fashion designs, with experience illustrating embroidery placements considered an advantage.

- Experience in luxury or couture womenswear is highly desirable.

Hours and Environment
Your normal working week will be 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with a 30‑minute lunch break. You will be asked to work additional hours paid at the agreed rate of contract. You will be working in a collaborative atelier space with access to free parking dependent on availability.
