Overview

Reigate College has an exceptional reputation locally andädtually, providing excellent teaching, learning and support. It is one of the best sixth‑form colleges in the country, and it offers an active, inclusive and supportive community ethos at the heart of everything it does.

The Post

The College is seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic, and motivated teacher to join the highly successful Maths Department. The post is available from 24 August 2026 on a permanent, full‑time basis and would equally suit an experienced curriculum manager or someone looking for their first management responsibility.

All new members of staff receive mentors to help them settle into the College. This post provides an exciting opportunity for those wishing to specialise in sixth‑form education.

The Department

The Maths Department is located in the County Building in fully equipped classrooms. The team consists of twelve other teachers, who work closely in a collaborative style, contributing to central teaching resources. The Department is led by a Head of Department, supported by Course Leaders for each of the qualifications offered. The Department meets once a week during the College's dedicated meeting slot during the College day.

There are over 500 students studying A Level Maths, around 80 studying A Level Further Maths and approximately 60 resitting GCSE Maths.

Course Leadership

There is currently a Course Leader: Further Maths vacancy. The successful applicant will be responsible for the planningστη and delivery of the course, as well as the monitoring of student performance throughout the qualification.

Salary & Contact Time

Full‑time equivalent salary for this post is up to £54,918.50 per annum (up to £53,232 main scale plus £1,686.50 off‑scale payment for Course Leadership). The contact time for a full‑time teacher is 21 hours per week (20 hours teaching and 1 hour tutor).
