The successful candidate will work within the Prevent Gateway Team and be a central point of contact for CTPSE Prevent. Key responsibilities include liaising with internal and external partners and completing assessments to identify individuals vulnerable to radicalisation. The candidate will also be responsible for accurately recording referrals and supporting the wider Prevent teams by undertaking enquiries and research. The candidate will have strong communication skills, experience of partnership working and the ability to handle sensitive information. The candidate will need to demonstrate an understanding of National Prevent Strategy and the Counter Terrorism & Securities Act 2015.

You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. For this reason a full UK Driving Licence is essential to the role.

Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level SC together with a number of enhanced security checks. In order to achieve this, you must be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past five years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad. Please be aware that if successful there are limitations on travelling to a small number of countries once in post.
