Job summary

A prominent mental health charity in the UK is seeking a Counselling Service Clinical Lead to oversee clinical governance and ensure high standards for the self-pay counselling service. The ideal candidate must hold a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling/Psychotherapy or equivalent and have experience supervising counsellors. Strong skills in clinical governance, communication, and digital tools are essential. This position offers a hybrid work model and a salary ranging from £17,975.68 to £20,340 per annum.

Role Details: About the role

The Counselling Service Clinical Lead will ensure robust clinical governance and that the self-pay counselling service is safe, effective, and delivered to the highest professional standard in line with professional practice guidelines / BACP ethical framework.

About you
  • You will be recognised professional counselling / psychotherapy qualification (minimum Level 4 Diploma or equivalent).
  • You will be qualified in and have experience of providing clinical supervision for counsellors and / or trainees, as well as managing caseloads, assessments, and allocation of clients.
  • You will have experience in managing or leading clinical governance within a counselling service or team.
  • You will have excellent communication, time management skills and strong clinical leadership, reflective practice and supervisory skills.
  • You will have experience in using case management systems (e.g., Zanda) and digital tools.
