Overview

Job Title: Cost Performance Senior Analyst

Location: Portsmouth / Flexible. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Up to £64,000 dependent on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing

• Summarise cost performance reporting information & present to the Cost Performance Lead, FP&A Lead and business stakeholders
• Liaise with the cost performance team to drive quality, consistent and insightful Cost Performance reporting, analysis and forecasting
• Through the IBP process, annual budgeting and regular monthly reporting and forecasting, consolidate, analyse and review/challenge data from the line of business and functions
• Collaborate with business partners and functional leads to drive cost and business performance
• Support the business stakeholders to aid their understanding of financial information
• Contribute to modernisation initiatives to drive standardisation, efficiency and effectiveness
• Drive continuous improvement processes including working with the wider FP&A team to share best practice
• Deputise for Cost Performance Lead when required

Your skills and experiences

• Preferably a member of a UK recognised professional accountancy body with at least 2 years post qualifying experience
• Proven post qualification within a Financial role such as a Management Accountant, Project Accountant, Financial Controller coupled with previous management/supervisory experience
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to establish efficient and effective working relationships and to influence key stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
• Working within a fast paced environment, ability to adapt to change
• Present Financial information to non financial stakeholders, coupled with the ability to analyse and interpret data

The Financial Planning & Analysis team

Within the finance function, Financial Planning and Analysis teams are responsible for leading the delivery of high quality and forward looking financial analysis and insights to the business. Bringing together FP&A experts from across the UK footprint, they are the primary points of contact into business Finance Directors and provide crucial insights on the key business and financial performance. Alongside this the FP&A team work alongside other finance capabilities to drive the enhancement of key business processes, working towards establishing data driven and digitally enabled performance reporting to meet the future business needs.
