Responsibilities

  • Reconciling Purchase Orders (POs) between systems.
  • Removing or reducing unnecessary Purchase Orders.
  • Analysing discrepancies to understand gaps in commitments.
  • Ensuring Purchase Orders are sufficient to avoid payment delays.
  • Checking for invoices paid from the Stoke ledger.
  • Closing down jobs that must be completed in Servitor.
  • Managing jobs transferred without historic costs.
Job description

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Cost Assistant Accountant to join Stoke on Trent Council on an initial 6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reconciling Purchase Orders (POs) between Buy-it and Civica
  • Removing or reducing POs that are no longer required
  • Analysing GRNIs to understand gaps between actual commitments and Civica
  • Ensuring sufficient POs are in place to avoid delays in invoice payments
  • Checking for Unitas invoices paid from the Stoke ledger and vice versa
  • Closing down RMS-specific jobs (current financial year) that have not transferred to NEC and must be completed in Servitor (Old and New)
  • Managing jobs transferred to NEC without historic costs
