Our client is an independent company that develops and manufactures a range of organic cosmetics, toiletries and personal care products using a range of locally sourced organic oils and other ingredients. Due to continued strong performance they are seeking an experienced Development Chemist to join their growing team.

Responsibilities

The role will involve the development and formulation of a range of natural cosmetics using in-house organic ingredients, as well as improving existing formulations, carrying out pre-formulation studies and selection of ingredients and raw materials. You may also be involved with the laboratory scale-up and process development of new products.

Qualifications

• Graduate or higher in Chemistry or Cosmetic Science.
• Minimum of 2-3 years relevant industry experience in the formulation and development of cosmetics, toiletries or personal care products.
• Knowledge of process development would be an advantage.
• Strong administration skills with good attention to detail.
• Must be well organised with excellent communication skills
