A prominent accountancy firm in Leeds is seeking a Senior Manager or Associate Director for its corporate tax team. The successful candidate will manage tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse portfolio of clients, focusing on delivering exceptional client service and fostering strong relationships. Our Tax team’s growth has been driven by the deliberate and successful development of our talented people with 3 new tax partners promoted internally over the last 3 years. There is significant opportunity in the market to continue the growth of our business with the addition of a strong relationship handler and technically strong corporate tax Senior Manager or Associate Director in the team.
With a desire to own and develop important trusted client relationships, expand the value delivered to existing clients, contribute to bringing in new clients and actively lead the continuing development of our talented corporate tax team, the successful candidate will have a clear sense of purpose to help our clients and people succeed and be a valued and impactful player in the wider Yorkshire and North East tax team.
Our tax team based in the Leeds office is 60 strong of which 25 sit in our corporate tax team led by 3 partners who have an extensive network and client base across both Yorkshire and the North East of England. The corporate tax team is highly integrated with the indirect tax, employment tax, private client, tax risk assurance and innovation incentives specialists making up the rest of our local tax group. As a core and year round provider of services, the corporate tax team plays a fundamental role in leading trusted relationships with a variety of exciting businesses to deliver the holistic tax service BDO in Leeds is known for.

A talented and experienced tax practitioner with a strong desire to build relationships and deliver exceptional client service will accelerate the growth of our business and fantastic tax team.
This role will be leading the tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients, with a particular emphasis on large and complex corporates with international footprint and private equity backed portfolio businesses.
The primary responsibility will be to own the relationships on a portfolio of clients, with a focus on adding wider value for those businesses, developing the account teams and delivering on all assignments to a high level of quality. It is expected that this will involve responsibility for a mix of compliance and advisory projects for the portfolio of clients as well as delivering one-off project work.
Another key part of the role requires the individual to actively seek, and keep the Partner informed about, any new business opportunities arising on existing and new clients.
You will provide assistance to Partners in both client work and in the management of the group with the opportunity to drive practice development in key strategic areas.
