A tax consultancy is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join their Newcastle office. You will manage a portfolio, provide corporate tax compliance and advisory services, train junior staff, and deliver proactive tax planning advice. The ideal candidate is CTA qualified with over two years of relevant experience and strong communication skills. This position offers a flexible working policy and comprehensive benefits.
Due to continued growth, our client is looking for a talented and motivated Corporate Tax Manager to join the tax team based at their Newcastle office.
You’ll play a key role in managing a portfolio of clients, delivering both corporate tax compliance and advisory services, and contributing to the ongoing development of junior team members and the wider tax consultancy service.
The Role
• Technical review of complex corporate tax computations prepared by junior colleagues
• Mentoring, training and developing Tax Assistants, Seniors, and Assistant Managers
• Managing work progress, recoveries and billing across your client portfolio
• Delivering proactive tax planning advice to clients in collaboration with wider AW teams
• Liaising directly with clients, providing outstanding customer service
• Supporting team recruitment, including involvement in the graduate intake process
• Line management responsibilities for Tax Seniors or Trainees
• Delivering tax technical training sessions to the wider tax team
The Ideal Candidate:
• CTA qualified with a minimum of 2 years' experience in Corporate Tax Compliance and Advisory
• A confident communicator, both written and verbal, with a client-focused approach
• Experienced in managing relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
• A team player, able to work closely with colleagues across different offices
• Comfortable delivering training and supporting professional development of others
• A full UK driving licence holder (essential)
• Experience with Alphatax is desirable but not essential
