About the Role
As an Associate Director within our Private Equity tax team, you will advise a broad range of clients on a variety of tax issues, covering compliance and advisory projects throughout the life‑cycle of private equity investments.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on tax matters spanning compliance and advisory projects.
- Support Directors and Partners by managing and developing a high‑calibre team of tax specialists servicing portfolio companies.
- Participate in client meetings, responding to queries concisely and confidently.
- Deliver accurate, high‑quality tax advice meeting expectations and deadlines, thereby establishing trust and respect with clients.
- Oversee the development of junior team members, helping them understand career aspirations and supporting their growth.
- Lead on pitch and proposal development, actively growing the business through market presence and demonstrations of capabilities.
- Contribute to exit readiness activities and cross‑sell wider solutions across the global network.
Qualifications & Experience
- Professional qualification (CTA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with post‑qualification experience.
- Confidence in managing a portfolio of private‑equity‑backed businesses.
- Experience working with PE‑backed businesses and, ideally, transaction experience such as due diligence or tax structuring.
- Demonstrated ability to review work and supervise colleagues in a tax environment.
- Experience in a professional services setting and managing a large portfolio of PE or transactional tax clients.
- Business development experience and a proactive approach to client engagement.
- Eagerness to develop deep knowledge of the firm’s services and capabilities.
