Corporate Solicitor | 1+ PQE | Ipswich

What You’ll Be Doing

You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers across a wide range of high‑quality corporate transactions while developing your own skills, technical confidence and professional profile.

  • Supporting on mergers and acquisitions (buy and sell side), restructurings and development‑capital matters
  • Assisting with complex cross‑border transactions and capital‑markets related work
  • Managing disclosure exercises, data rooms and elements of due diligence
  • Reviewing and assisting with transaction documentation, including SPAs, APAs, investment agreements and joint‑venture documents
  • Drafting and preparing ancillary documents, completion deliverables and post‑deal bibles
  • Conducting targeted research using leading know‑how resources and contributing to internal knowledge development
  • Engaging directly with clients, investors, senior stakeholders and other advisers throughout the transaction lifecycle
  • Working as part of a large, collaborative corporate group with clear sub‑teams and strong internal support functions
About You

You will be an ambitious, motivated corporate lawyer with a strong grounding in transactional work and a desire to grow within a nationally respected team.

  • 1+ year PQE (or equivalent) in corporate mergers and acquisitions
  • Experience assisting on due diligence, disclosure and document review
  • Strong drafting skills and familiarity with transactional documents
  • Confident using platforms such as Practical Law or FromCounsel for research
  • Comfortable communicating with clients, colleagues and external advisers
  • Organised, detail‑focused and able to manage multiple workstreams under supervision
  • Keen to develop exposure across M&A, private equity, venture capital, reorganisations and other specialist areas
  • Positive, collaborative and aligned with a culture that values authenticity, approachability and high standards
