A mental health support organization in Northampton is seeking a Cooking Group Volunteer to assist with cooking sessions for service users. The ideal candidate will have an empathetic attitude and the ability to engage individuals to enhance their cooking skills and confidence. This role entails setting up sessions, planning meals, and fostering a welcoming environment for all participants.

A Cooking Group Volunteer will attend the service frequently to engage with the staff and people the service supports, offering assistance with group cooking sessions, including budgeting, shopping and preparation before the session.

4-8 hours per week, with option for one full day or two half days. Location: Northampton, William Tarry Supported Housing Service. The service is tailored for each individual using the service with the goal of helping them manage their accommodation and reintegration back into independent living and the wider community. The service provides 11 self-contained flats for people recovering from mental health problems.
