Job Type: Full-time, Office-based – First 6 months for Solicitors in the office then 1 day at home

About the Role

An established and reputable law firm based in East London is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor to join its growing property team. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to post-completion, delivering a high standard of client care and maintaining strong professional relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, including:
    • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
    • Remortgages and transfers of equity
    • Lease extensions and shared ownership
    • New build and unregistered titles
  • Prepare and review contracts, raise and respond to enquiries, and report on title.
  • Liaise with clients, lenders, agents, and other solicitors to ensure efficient progress of matters.
  • Ensure compliance with SRA and AML requirements throughout each transaction.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior members of the team as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and proactively manage deadlines.
Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer (minimum 2 years’ experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of the conveyancing process from start to finish.
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage files independently in a busy, client-focused environment.
  • Professional, proactive, and detail-oriented approach.
