Red Bull Advanced Technologies are looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join us on a contract basis to help develop control systems and software for RBAT projects. We have short term contract lengths available (4 Months / 6 Months). These contracts will be inside IR35.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To take direction from the Head of Software and Control Systems and develop control systems that meet project requirements.
  • To develop systems from initial specifications and requirements documents through to physical testing and prove-out for production applications.
  • To prototype control systems hardware and software using a range of tools including MATLAB / Simulink and dSpace Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) rigs.
  • To undertake other software development activities as required.
  • To take ownership of the functionality and performance of control system projects.

Key Competencies:

  • An engineering degree or equivalent, preferably in Control, Software or Electronic engineering.
  • A strong understanding of modern control system and software engineering approaches.
  • An understanding of MATLAB / Simulink for control systems software development.
  • An understanding of other software development tools (C#, Python, Java or similar).
  • An understanding of version control, issues tracking and software build systems.
  • An understanding of software development process and the implications of functional safety on that process.
