Job description

We’re looking for an early‑career Project Engineer to join our Busbar Systems team at Schneider Electric. This is a hands‑on, field‑based role with a strong technical and project delivery focus. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers supporting the design, coordination, and installation of Low Voltage Busbar Trunking Systems used in hospitals, data centres, factories, and commercial buildings across the UK and Northern Ireland. Full training provided.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in delivering projects across the Canalis MTO product range
  • Support site surveys, installation planning, and isometric design drawing reviews
  • Help manage design updates and project changes in ERP systems
  • Attend project sites (flexible travel pattern) and collaborate with customers, internal teams, and suppliers
  • Prepare RAMS documents and assist in health and safety compliance
  • Take part in project meetings and build knowledge of industry practices
Qualifications
  • Early‑career engineer with some experience or academic knowledge in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Interest in busbar systems, switchgear, or LV distribution
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and occasionally to Northern Ireland
  • Clear communicator who enjoys teamwork and solving problems
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Based ideally near Telford, Leeds, Coventry, or London (you will need to travel)
  • CAD or ERP experience is a bonus but not required
