Overview

Solar sector. This role presents a unique opportunity to join a leading renewable energy developer and provider of expert services into the renewable energy industry. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for the total management of multiple projects. Working with the construction team, the Contracts Manager will ensure that all team members fulfill their requirements, plan, and complete works on budget and schedule, and adhere to all Quality Assurance and Health and Safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and manage programme and construction plans.
  • Coordinate project budgets, cost plans, and construction quantities with the Quantity Surveyor (QS).
  • Identify, engage, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Negotiate and establish contracts to deliver services necessary for construction works to meet schedule and budget.
  • Maintain and monitor cost control and programme adherence.
  • Attend site meetings and control works execution.
  • Manage variations and changes across all work packages with the QS team.
  • Oversee project budget, programme, and quality/Health & Safety until completion and closure of all work packages.
Qualifications
  • Applicants must have previous experience in a similar role.
  • Experience on electrical projects is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite are required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project is desirable but not essential.
  • Prior experience managing large construction or infrastructure projects is necessary.
  • A HND or degree in construction or equivalent experience is preferred.
