Overview

CJS are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager with a strong background in stone and ceramic materials to manage and oversee multiple high-end commercial Fit-Out projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all contract obligations are met from pre-construction through to completion, with a sharp focus on quality, budgets, timelines, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of contracts involving natural stone and ceramic materials.
  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring all works are carried out to specification, on time, and within budget.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, designers, subcontractors, and internal teams to align expectations and ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications related to stone and ceramic installations.
  • Source and manage supply chain partners, including quarries, fabricators, and tile suppliers.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Handle all contractual documentation including variations, claims, extensions, and final accounts.
  • Provide technical advice and solutions where required to resolve challenges on site.
  • Ensure full compliance with company procedures, industry standards, and health & safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a Contracts Manager role within the stone and/or ceramic industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of natural stone (e.g. marble, granite, limestone) and ceramic products including installation techniques.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering high-value commercial or residential fit-out projects.
  • Excellent understanding of contracts, particularly JCT and/or NEC forms.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
