Contracts Manager - Leading Independent Building Contractor

Our client, a respected London-based contractor, seeks an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee 3-4 building projects with a combined value of £2-3 million.

Role
  • Manage multiple commercial or refurbishment sites from inception to completion.
  • Take ownership of budgets, specifications, and project programs.
  • Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and design teams to ensure projects meet design briefs and commercial requirements.
  • Lead project teams, subcontractors, and site staff to deliver high‑quality, on‑time, and on‑budget outcomes.
  • Oversee procurement, cost reporting, and progress monitoring.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety, quality, and contractual obligations.
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum NVQ Level 7
  • 20+ years construction experience, with at least 5 years in a contracts management role.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, specifications, and complex project teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and IT literacy.
  • Experience with client liaison, design briefs, and contract administration.
