A regional housing developer in Cumbria is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee new housing developments. Responsibilities include managing multiple sites, ensuring safety and quality, mentoring site teams, and maintaining client relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience in volume housing developments, knowledge of construction methods, and excellent management skills. The salary ranges from £70,000 to £75,000 with additional benefits, including a car allowance and health plan.

A well-established regional housing developer have a requirement for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team to manage housing developments in Cumbria.
Reporting to a Construction Director, you will be responsible for overseeing 3-4 new build housing sites, overseeing build programmes, build quality, healthy and safety and customer satisfaction across Cumbria. You will effectively motivate, support and manage the site based management teams to ensure that each development achieves the desired health and safety standards, achieve programme and quality requirements and promote the importance of customer relationships to all site based teams to include directly employed and sub-contracted staff.
Contracts Manager duties will include:
The successful candidate must have previous experience in a similar role managing multiple volume housing developments. You will have good knowledge of traditional constructions methods and excellent management and communication skills with the ability to proactively manage production teams on multiple sites at any one time, including direct labour and sub-contractor resource and the ability to deliver quality construction projects within budget and programme timescales in a safe environment. SMSTS, CSCS Card, First Aid, NVQ Level 4 or above.
