Overview

Contract Wintel Engineer – Data centre migration (outside IR35) REF1117. A major technology focused, pan European Financial Services organisation is migrating data centres into a managed service provision. The role involves hands-on Windows engineering expertise to support the migration project and move to a managed service model.

Responsibilities
  • Support the project team to deliver the migration into a managed service.
  • Act as a technical SME on Windows OS and execute project activities, including configuration of Windows operating systems on the VMs created as part of the Apps Migration.
  • Support Active Directory migration and decommissioning of on-premise servers, and other migration activities as required.
  • Work with Windows Server 2016 → 2019/2022 migrations; knowledge of clustering, IIS, Exchange and SQL.
  • Work in a hybrid model with initial on-site engagement; after ramp-up, remote work is expected to be ~90%.
