Job summary

A leading facilities management company is seeking a professional to provide operational assistance within their operations in Hucknall. The role involves supporting the management team in ensuring safety and quality compliance while actively aiding in resource planning. Ideal candidates will have IOSH/NEBOSH certification and experience in safety and quality management. This position requires some UK travel and is focused on maintaining excellent customer relations and meeting service delivery standards.

About The Role:

Overall Purpose of the role:

  • To provide professional operational assistance and support the business in delivering efficiently and effectively its commitments to safety, quality and service delivery to our clients and internal stakeholders
  • To support the success and safe running of the contract and to ensure that the team is always operating in a safe environment for themselves, OCS colleagues, our client, members of the public and supply partners.
  • To deliver hands‑on support as required and to ensure that thorough safety and quality checks are made in conjunction with the management team and to remedy defective standards immediately.
  • Actively assist in resource planning and team allocation across industrial painting business.
  • Must have the ability to work as part of a busy team, self‑start and achieve common goals.
  • Ensure all RAMS are completed on time to a high standard and submitted to the client in a timely manner and work packs issued to teams.
  • Assist with resource planning and staff allocation on a weekly basis.
Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide professional operational assistance to management team
  • To ensure compliance with company’s policies and procedures and quality commitments as well as customer safety rules. Act as point of contact for safety and quality information and implementation
  • To ensure method statements etc. are completed to a high standard and submitted to the customer contact on time. Version control of contract documentation.
  • To ensure that a safe working environment is maintained through compliance with all company health and safety policies and procedures and inspection and audit.
  • Develop excellent relationship with client contacts and key customers. Ensure non‑conformances are addressed promptly and work proactively with operational teams to avoid re‑occurrence.
  • Co‑ordinate to identify and provide induction and on‑going training for directly reporting staff, agency and contractor resource as well as maintaining training records.
  • Assist with weekly resource and activity planning and complete management reports
  • Assist during the tender process with technical responses
  • Any other ad hoc duties as reasonably expected by the role.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Support management team with mobilising projects
  • Assist management team achieve SLA’s and KPI’s as specified by the contract
  • Maintain good customer relationships and reporting of agreed KPI’s whilst assisting management team to continuously improve service delivery
  • Maintain good customer relationships and ensure delivery of agreed levels of customer excellence whilst continuously improving service delivery
  • IOSH/NEBOSH NGC certifications.
  • Must have experience in Safety and quality management ideally with working at height/utilities/industrial painting sectors
  • Some UK wide travel will be required
  • Experience with helping to mobilise projects
  • The ability to produce high quality RAMS
