Job summary

A leading engineering and manufacturing organization in the UK is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Project Manager to lead the relocation of a product line. This role involves managing project planning, resource allocation, and compliance within the Aerospace & Defence sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex site moves and deliver critical programmes in a dynamic environment. The contract is expected to last 12 months with a pay rate of £500 - £600 per day.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in delivering complex site moves, operational transitions, or transformation projects.
  • Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or regulated environments is highly desirable.
  • Background in Aerospace or Aviation industries is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of a manufacturing relocation.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules.
  • Provide regular reporting and escalation on progress, risks and budget performance.
  • Ensure all activities comply with safety, quality and regulatory requirements.

Location: Sunbury on Thames - Will need to travel to Towcester facility throughout project
Rate: £500 - £600 per day DOE
Contract: 12 Months - Outside IR35, January Start
Clearance: DBS

Role Overview

Our client, a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation within the Aerospace & Defence sector, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Project Manager to lead a major product operational transition. You will manage the full relocation of a product line between two sites, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.
