Job summary

An established technology firm is seeking a Contract Manual Software Test Technician to join their team in Cambridgeshire. This role involves on-site work 5 days a week and offers a 6-12 month contract with potential for extension. Ideal candidates will have experience in manual testing of embedded products and a strong background in Embedded Linux. Familiarity with testing methodologies and tools such as Jira is also required.

Overview

The Redline Group are seeking a Contract Manual Software Test Technician to join our customer's team in Cambridgeshire, working on-site 5 days a week. This is a 6-12 month contract with strong potential for extension, offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a well-established and fast-paced software test environment. The site is easily commutable from Cambridge, Peterborough, and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing intricate electro-mechanical technology, our customer has been a globally-renowned name for many years. You will join a fast-paced test team, working on 2 week sprint sized stories, applying different testing methodologies, including: functional, end to end, regression and exploratory and raising defects in Jira when necessary.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in similar roles manual testing embedded products
• Strong background in Embedded Linux
• Proficient using Jira
• Experience with scrum agile as a team member is desirable
• Familiarity with Squish for light automation testing is a plus, especially in embedded software contexts

This role will not accept candidates operating via a PSC; you will therefore need to operate via an Umbrella company.
