A regional healthcare provider is seeking a qualified midwife to provide comprehensive care throughout the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods for women and their babies. The successful candidate will coordinate care, support families, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be an autonomous practitioner as part of continuity of carer teams, taking responsibility for the provision of care throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods for women and babies in the hospital/community setting for a designated caseload.
You will be responsible for the assessment, planning and implementation of care to both high and low risk women in your care. You will support, supervise and teach staff/students evidence based client centred care, which is of a high standard, being responsible for ensuring that all care is delivered according to Trust policies and procedures and maintaining associated records of care.

As this vacancy is within the division of Women’s and Children’s, a successful applicant will need a standard/enhanced DBS, which will be paid for by the Trust and deducted from the salary over 3 months. The cost of joining the DBS update service is £16 per year; no reimbursement will be provided by the Trust.
