Contentious Probate Solicitor (2+ PQE)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Contentious Probate Solicitor (2+ years’ PQE) to join a well-respected and growing contentious trusts and probate team based in Buckinghamshire.

We are working with an established firm known for the quality of its private client disputes work, strong regional reputation, and supportive working culture. This role offers exposure to high-quality, often complex matters, within a collaborative and well-structured team.

The Role

The successful candidate will manage and assist on a varied contentious probate caseload, including:

• Will validity and inheritance disputes
• Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
• Trust and estate disputes
• Estate administration disputes and removal of executors
• Advising clients through pre-action, litigation, and settlement

The level of responsibility and autonomy will be tailored to experience, with appropriate supervision and mentoring from senior lawyers

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
• 2+ years’ PQE in contentious probate or private client litigation
• Strong drafting and advocacy skills
• Confident managing client relationships
• A pragmatic, empathetic, and commercially aware approach
