Overview

Content Marketing Officer — £27,450 per annum · 37 hours per week; Permanent. Monday – Friday. Ipswich/ Hybrid. Ref: IP361

Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for crafting the right message, for the right audience, at the right time? We’re looking for a passionate communicator who thrives on collaboration and is ready to make a real impact as part of our small but dynamic communications team. You will engage with a wide range of stakeholders and play a key role in elevating our communications, bringing fresh ideas, strategic thinking and driving engagement both internally and externally. Key responsibilities
  • Create compelling and engaging content across formats including blogs, articles, print, social media, email, audio, images and video.
  • Collaborate within a creative communications team to develop omnichannel content that builds connections with colleagues and customers.
  • Contribute to and follow a strategic content calendar to support internal and external campaigns, events and storytelling initiatives.
  • Optimise content for SEO, email and social media best practices to ensure effective distribution and engagement.
  • Measure and report on content performance, supporting the Head of Communications in tracking progress against KPIs.
About you
  • You will have proven experience in creating targeted content and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns whilst using creative media and design tools (Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud).
  • You should have hands-on skills in photography, videography and design, with a strong grasp of social media trends and SEO best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and high IT literacy are essential, along with a sharp eye for visual storytelling and brand alignment.
  • A willingness to learn is key. If you have experience in email marketing and CMS platforms alongside skills in analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, SEMrush) that would be an added bonus.
  • An understanding of inclusive communications and a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion is also important.
Person specification
  • A relevant marketing, communications or journalism qualification or relevant, equivalent and demonstrable work experience.
  • Please note a full driving licence is essential for this role.
