Job Description

Over the next year, we expect Content Editors to mostly focus on:

  • Producing summaries of forecasting rationales
  • Writing forecasting questions. We are interviewing subject-matter experts in a range of fields, such as artificial intelligence and political science, and asking them for events or evidence that would strongly impact their probabilities of certain future events occurring. We are looking for Content Editors who can take the general suggestions from these interviews and develop them into detailed, resolvable forecasting questions.
  • Writing policy reports and summaries of our team’s research
  • Conducting expert interviews
  • Responding to forecasters’ questions or clarification requests

This is a part-time role with a preference for candidates who will be able to work 10+ hours/week and start immediately. The role is entirely remote, and applicants can work whichever hours of the day work for them.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and the hiring process typically involves the following:

  • An initial application, including a 1-hour work test
  • A paid 10-hour work test
  • Three 45-minute interviews with team members
Role Requirements

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Can write clearly and concisely
  • Are able to organise and consolidate a large amount of information, and present it in a clear and understandable manner
  • Have high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Are familiar with, and interest in, quantitative forecasting and writing forecasting questions
  • Have ability to work productively in a self-directed environment
  • Are receptive to feedback and willing to provide feedback to others

Our ideal candidate would ideally possess all the qualities listed above. However, we encourage candidates to apply even if they do not meet every requirement. We value diversity of experiences and perspectives, and believe that a willingness to learn and grow can outweigh specific skillsets.
