Consultant Radiologist with interest in Head and Neck Radiology

We are looking to recruit a Consultant Radiologist with interest in Head and Neck Radiology. Main duties of the job

The candidate would be expected to be proficient in all aspects of diagnostic and interventional head and neck radiology, including reporting of Plain Film, US, CT and MRI.

Other subspecialty reporting skills and intervention would be an advantage.

Support for General Radiology is required to support the elective, on call and acute work.

The post holder will be expected to support the general diagnostic on call rota.

Any other duties necessary for the successful performance of the role, commensurate with the grade.

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • On GMC's Specialist Register or be no more than six months from receiving CCT at interview date
  • FRCR or equivalent higher qualification from a different College or from overseas.
  • Fellowship

Experience
  • Experience in General Radiology and subspecialty training head and neck imaging post FRCR 2B.
  • Experience in head and neck intervention e.g. FNA and core biopsy
  • Confident with Information Technology.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of educational methods.
Training
  • In General Radiology (CT, MR, US, Plain Films, Fluoroscopy) with appropriate sub-specialist training
  • Teaching experience.

  • Reside within 20 miles or 60 minutes of Airedale General Hospital.
  • Able to provide an on-call service.
