Job description
Overview

Consultant Psychiatrist - CAMHS, Blackpool (10PA). Two substantive posts available.

The post holder will join the Fylde and Wyre CAMHS Team, based at Whitegate Drive Health Centre in Blackpool. The roles are full time (10 Programmed Activities).

This post includes eligibility for a Recruitment & Retention Premium and a place on the Trust’s Safety and Improvement Fellowship programme (funded by the Trust). The successful applicant will be required to participate on the Consultant On Call rota with additional remuneration.

Responsibilities

The post holders will be leading members of a well-established community children and young people’s mental health service. One post is newly created as a result of the Children and Young People’s (CYP) transformation. There are opportunities to contribute to service development and improvement.

Main duties include participating in the on-call rota and providing high quality clinical leadership within CAMHS.

Requirements and Qualifications

Applicants should hold:

  • Full GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register of the GMC or eligible for entry to the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date.
  • Section 12 approval at the time of commencing employment and have or be eligible to have Approved Clinician (AC) Status within 3 months.

Remuneration will be as set out in the New Consultant Contract according to previous experience.
