A leading mental health service provider in Teddington is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to provide medical and clinical leadership within the Twickenham Integrated Recovery Hub. This role involves managing complex cases, ensuring high-quality care, and working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team. Suitable candidates will have approved clinician status and the ability to lead and engage in clinical governance practices. A Vacancy at South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust. The postholder will provide medical and clinical leadership to the Twickenham Integrated Recovery Hub (IRH) within Adult Mental Health Services for Richmond. The Twickenham IRH (with internal GP alignment) is one of two such teams in the London Borough of Richmond, the other being Richmond IRH. Both IRHs provide treatment and care for those with more complex and enduring needs. There is a separate team Richmond Single Point of Access which triages GP referrals and carries out assessments. Richmond Primary Care Liaison Service also accepts referrals from GPs and provides mental health interventions. In addition, there are separate community teams for Early Intervention in Psychosis (Richmond and Kingston EIS) and a Complex Emotional Needs Service for people with Personality Disorder (Richmond PDITT). There is also a Trust run Richmond Wellbeing Service comprising of IAPT and wellbeing services for patients with mild/moderate mental health difficulties.
While individual clinicians within the team have responsibility for the clinical care they deliver, the consultant shares with the team manager and other team members responsibility for ensuring the care delivered by the team is safe and of a good standard. This includes participating in systems of audit and clinical governance, working to resolve problems on their own initiative, and where necessary drawing any concerns they have been unable to resolve themselves to the attention of the team manager and others.
The post will be managerially/operationally accountable to the Clinical Director for the Community (adult) Service Line and responsible to the Associate Clinical Director for the borough.
The Consultant will have Section 12 (2) approval of the Mental Health Act and Approved Clinician status (or eligibility).

Our Recovery College has been visited by overseas healthcare commissioners, who have gone on to develop similar services abroad in collaboration with our Trust. The Trust is also proud to have developed a range of new, progressive, public facing services including Crisis Cafes and a Mental Health Support Line.
The Trust also provides a range of national services, the advice and expertise of which can be easily called upon for the benefit of CMHT patients.
