We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our healthcare team at HMP Belmarsh. HMP Belmarsh is a category A Prison located in South East London. The prison houses around 675 patients with a variety of needs include highly complex, and acute mental health. Within this role you will be supporting a number of high profile patients across our general population and 33 bed inpatient ward services. We are looking for a dynamic Psychiatrist, who can be flexible in the way they work, and adapt quickly. You must be able to build a rapport with both officers and patients, as well as working alongside the matrons to lead the teams.
Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. We may also be able to offer this role part time if working across Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
This position is part time role you’ll receive an annual salary up to £196,840 per annum FTE - depending on experience.
Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks
