About the role

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an enthusiastic Consultant with subspecialty interest in Paediatric Neuroradiology to join a large, innovative department. The post is based at RMCH with the possibility of working at other trust sites such as Wythenshawe and North Manchester.

Main duties
  • Report neuro-radiology examinations, including acute, escalated and work list cases.
  • Vet and prioritise requests and present cases at clinical meetings (Neuro-oncology, Proton Beam Therapy MDT, neurology, specialist neuro-radiology meetings).
  • Supervise trainees (large number of trainees in department).
  • Participate in service development, audit and teaching.
Qualifications & Training
  • MB.ChB or equivalent
  • Postgraduate qualification (e.g. FRCR) or equivalent
  • Completion of basic training in Clinical Radiology
  • Completion of 6 months subspecialty training in Paediatric Neuroradiology
  • Higher qualification e.g. MD in Radiology
  • European Course in Paediatric Neuroradiology
Teaching & Audit
