A leading NHS Trust in London is seeking a part-time Medical Liaison Consultant to enhance patient care and support the flow of inpatients. The role involves guiding safeguarding initiatives and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. Candidates should possess relevant medical qualifications and experience with safeguarding and educational supervision. As a medical liaison consultant you will play a key part in supporting the flow of inpatients at RNOH, working with multiple specialist services at RNOH to ensure that patients are safely discharged with appropriate onward care in place. We are looking for a part-time consultant to grow our team and develop this essential service. Of the 4PA, 2PA will be dedicated to Medical Liaison and the other 2PA to managing Safeguarding across the Trust.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop specialist interests depending on their professional needs and have time working in a teaching capacity with specialist registrars across the Trust.
The main duties of this role are to provide a number of services for adults (18+) at RNOH including:
Additionally, this role will lead and guide the Trust on Safeguarding matters, working with the Safeguarding team.
