Job Summary

Consultant Respiratory Medicine (lung cancer) 5PA substantive post at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH). Join an internationally renowned lung cancer team within the Cancer Vanguard programme.

Responsibilities
  • Full independent responsibility for clinical care of respiratory patients and those with lung cancer.
  • Lead endobronchial ultrasound bronchoscopy and basic pleural procedures.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams for COPD, interstitial lung disease, pleural disease and lung infections.
  • Audit and service improvement activities.
  • Teaching at departmental level and above.
Qualifications
  • MCEM / MRCP(UK) / MRCS or equivalent.
  • Full UK GMC registration.
  • On GMC Specialist Register in relevant specialty or within 6 months of expected CCT.
Experience
  • Proven experience in Respiratory Medicine, General (Internal) Medicine and lung cancer.
  • Experience working in and leading teams.
  • Independent at robotic‑assisted and other navigation bronchoscopy techniques is desirable.
  • Published experience in lung cancer / advanced bronchoscopy is desirable.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Demonstrable academic or professional contribution to bronchoscopy awareness and education.
  • Experience of audit and service improvement.
  • Experience of supervising clinicians in the workplace.
  • Experience of delivering teaching at departmental level or above.
Benefits and Conditions
  • Salary £109,725 to £145,478 per annum plus London Weighting.
